When I opened my accounts, I asked how much money I needed to keep in the accounts in order to avoid fees. They told me an amount so I put that amount in the accounts. All was well for a few months but after the first few months they began taking fees for no transactions in the accounts. When I wanted to close the accounts because I couldn't make "busy work" transactions, they charged me a fee for closing each account early(they had to be open for a certain number of months to avoid the fee). I ended up paying over $100 due to fees. I couldn't recommend this bank to anyone because of the numerous fees and the "busy work" games that you have to play in order to avoid the fees.
Watch out having an account at Key Bank because they will rip you off take your money without asking, and doing so will overdraw your account and then refuse to give it back. I have been unemployed for 8 months and needed my last forty dollars to pay a bill until I got my unemployment money and they charged me $40 for a rewards program, not really rewarding now is it! I never received an email or a letter for any notice whatsoever that I was going to get charge that amount, probably because they wanted to take my money and not give it back because their policy is not to refund that money. So stay away from Key Bank unless you just like giving away your money for no good reason.
