Our children have attended The Children's Garden since 2006. One of our children is currently attending the school and the older two attended through Kindergarten. Our experience at The Children's Garden has been extremely positive. Mrs. Harp and her assistants provide a caring environment where the children are able to learn at their own pace. Our children have a solid Montessori foundation to build upon and have transitioned easily into public school.
Having been in the military my children have been in four different schools in their short lifetime. They have been at the Garden since 2006. My eldest graduated from there last year and is now in the KEY program in the city here. My eldest cried for a long time as graduation came up and still loves to go back and visit on her days off. My youngest also LOVES the school and teachers. There aren't enough words to say how wonderful this little school and its teachers are. It is a very healthy environment for the children and Mrs Harp is very concerned about her kids and always makes sure she is running the best environment possible. I am highly involved in the school. I go on all the class trips, help out during all in school events, and even sub during the graduates lunch. There isn't a better place to send your child. However, if your child is out of control, and danger to him/herself or others than this is not the place for your child. We all know those kinds of kids are out there and the people to blame are the parents, not potential or short time teachers. I am very sorry that mother felt she needed to vent her anger here. It is a true shame. Come visit the school for yourself and speak to any of us parents new and long term. We are always happy to speak of this great school!
